1. the hotel is central to patong beach ( i didn»t go it is packed with tourists), we took a tuk tuk to kamala and kata beaches daily. his hotel is close to the mall it is a 10 minute walk from the mall and shopping (street vendors) and many options for eating. they clean the rooms daily without asking and change the sheets. the staff was very nice except for the bell man, but most were nice but spoke limited english, if you speak fast they will not understand you. they put the longer stay travelers on the top floors so that the live music from the restaurant does not keep you up at night. i was on the 8th floor and the pool is on the roof top on the 9th floor. i was quiet and nice. the internet cuts in and out but if you call the front desk they have it up and running in 5 minutes.
2. A friend and I wanted to stay in Patong for the weekend as taxis scalp a bit to get back to the other beaches on weekend nights. BV is very convenient, with a 5 min walk to Jungceylon mall (great food! suggest sushi train buffet near the McDonalds/Subway for only baht!), and 10 mins to Bangala road. They also have an amazing pool area on the roof, which is great for looking over Patong and having drinks with friends. Lovely when you get home from partying too to chill out before bed. Sauna there too, and the gym is small but usable (with air con! The breakfast included is a bit sparse for Europeans. Mainly catering for Chinese travelers, so stir-frys and soup, but juice, fried eggs, sausages, smoked ham and toast avail. We arrived and got upgraded from standard to deluxe twin with balcony… this had it»s downside tho: BV is on the main road from Kata/Karon etc on the way to Junceylon and Bangala, so a very busy thoroughfare! We needed to use earplugs if we wanted to have a disco nap before going out and to go to sleep. There is also construction all along that road, and the owner said it»d be going on for a long time, so if you»re wanting to sleep in you need ear plugs too. I would suggest going for the standard, which is on the back side of the building, and asking for a high floor. The construction directly opposite the hotel is almost finished as of Dec 2012, but ones on either side of that are no-where near finishing. Maybe by end of 2013 for the whole street? Overall a really nice hotel if you want a bit of comfort and don»t mind traffic noise
3. Location of the hotel quite far and the area are very dusty due to alot of buildings under construction. Especially in front of the hotel. Rooms decor are nice but small. Tuk Tuk easy to get although hotel quite far from Jung Ceylon Mall, Patong Beach and others.
